J. Dunks is probably your friend, you just haven't met yet. He started writing songs, poems, and plays in high school. In college, Josh started working with his writing partner Mike Barton. They've written everything from hit comedy shows (Bye Bye Liver: Chicago) to songs about Ghostbusters. J.'s songs walk a thin line between comedy and heart. Since moving to Hendersonville, NC in 2015, J. Dunks has expanded his subject matter to include love songs about family and coffee, murder ballads about OJ Simpson and JonBenet Ramsey, and a myriad of other subjects. At the center of the songs is a story, but J. Dunks would not say they are his story. The stories are yours and mine and ours.
