The channel "Meteoros Monte Castelo SC" is aimed at scientific dissemination in the field of astronomy.
The main issue is meteors, usually caused by particles originating from comets or asteroids that end up entering the Earth's atmosphere. There are currently 5 surveillance cameras strategically positioned and installed in the municipality of Monte Castelo, in the Northern Plateau of Santa Catarina.
The cameras, which monitor the night sky, collect data that are shared with BRAMON - Brazilian Meteor Monitoring Network in order to provide updated information for the development of studies in the area.
The channel publishes images from these cameras as well as related images.
