Los Angeles trumpet player Chloe Swindler is the 2nd prize winner of the 43rd International Trumpet Guild Solo Competition. As a multi-instrumentalist performer and composer, she uses her trumpet, guitar, piano, and voice to explore the complicated relationships between Western Art music, popular music, and contemporary American life. / Chloe performs as an international freelance artist and an Associate Artist with the Rodney Marsalis Philadelphia Big Brass. // As a community leader, Chloe is the founder of “The Common Ground Series”: a series that connects community members to speak about the intersections of music, race, gender, and politics. She holds a Master of Music degree from the Yale School of Music and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of California, Los Angeles.
