Open Assembly is a cloud-based solution that supports the demands of lifelong learning with a personal teaching and/or learning environment.
Users can collect content from multiple platforms and integrate it into a single, personalized space that works in any teaching context. They can freely assemble, remix, and share open educational resources (OER) with peers and colleagues on an ongoing basisâinside or outside of a course or learning management system (LMS)âwith integrated collaboration and curation tools. The context may change, but the content stays with the user.
Current technologies such as LMSs are walled gardens, closed and disconnected from the web. Our Beta release is primarily focused on instructorsâalthough students and researchers are finding the OA platform really useful for project and content management.
Our ultimate goal is to provide all of our users with a user-centered, flexible technology that can meet their evolving teaching and learning needs.
