My heart has been broken by the senseless acts of violence that have happened over this past week. From elementary school children and teachers, Black people at a supermarket, and Taiwanese churchgoers, it has touched every corner of our communities.

I know so many of you are sending your kids back to school today and are having unfathomable conversations with them. There are no β€œright” answers on what to say, but letting children know that they are not alone in this is of utmost importance.

On that note, please know that you are not grieving alone and that we are collectively angry, confused, and anguished by these events. If you or a loved one are struggling, please text SHARE to 741741 to get in touch with a crisis counselor or call (800) 273-8255 if you are in distress.

Grieving alongside you,
Dad

Dear Kids,

My "dad heart" has been heavy this week with the devastation in Ukraine. It has been challenging to find words in the midst of this tragedy.

The strength and resilience of the Ukrainian people reminds me of the quote from Samwise Gamgee,

"There is good in this world... and it's worth fighting for."

Please take care of yourselves and take care of each other. It's okay to grieve for our world. Sometimes it can feel like hope is miles and miles away. But kids, I hope you know that there is still hope, goodness, and kindness that exists in the world. It is up to us to continue to fight for them.

Love,
Dad

---
P.S. May our grief towards the injustices and heartbreaks of our world be channeled towards doing what we can, where we can. Please join me in praying for the people caught up in this unnecessary brutality, as well as taking actions towards combating injustice. I'll highlight organizations we are supporting in the following slides.

I had such a fun time on #NightlyKids ! I got to answer kids' questions and attempt to do the floss with Lester Holt. You can watch the clip here: https://youtu.be/QwO5lTE-rzc (my segment starts around the 13-minute mark) and catch it on television this weekend at 11:30 AM EST on NBC News NOW.

Hi Kids!

Merry Christmas! Know that I'm thinking of you all today. Another challenging year has come and gone, and I hope you know how important you are to this world in the midst of its trials. I realize that some of you may not be able to see the people you love today. Some of you may be physically or emotionally distant from your families. Please know that I see you, and whatever you are feeling today is valid. As I have said before, grief and gratitude can exist in the same space.

I am so appreciative of all of your support throughout this year. Thank you for all your kind comments, for being brave in learning new things, and your overall support of myself and my family.

I believe Christmas is a day when we remember that Love came to meet us in a world that is broken. So please know that you are loved, you are seen, and you are needed.

Merry Christmas and God bless you.

Love,
Dad

Rob's daughter, Kristine posting here:

A couple of weeks ago, my dad was telling me that he was thinking of all the people who were either physically or emotionally distant from their families this year, and wanted to give them an opportunity to be invited into our home in some way. Thankful for my uncle, cousin, and husband who jumped right in to make it happen.

So if you're away from family and want to join mine for some carols, you can sing along here:

Hey kids!

Over the weekend I had an influx of new subscribers, so if you're new to this channel I wanted to say, "Welcome!" and thought I'd re-introduce myself.

The goal of my YouTube channel is to encourage, empower, and edify every follower. It is my hope that you feel equipped to take on new challenges when engaging in this community.

I try to make content that is endearing, as well as enduring in the sense that you will be able to access the resources available on my channel for years to come.

As far as some personal facts about me, I'm a big fan of olives on pizza, I root for both the Seahawks and the Steelers, and I'm not typically one to brag, but I am pretty competitive when it comes to Bananagrams.

I am grateful you are here. God bless you! πŸ™πŸ»

Hey Kids!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I wanted to pause and take a moment to express my gratitude for all of you.

The world continues to feel heavy, and I think it’s important to communicate love to those around us as often and as sincerely as we can.

Thank you for sharing your stories with me, being vulnerable in asking what you are hoping to learn, and being brave in taking steps to master new things.

Also, thank you for taking the time to support and encourage me. It means more than you could possibly know.

The Lord has given me so much to be grateful for, I am truly blessed far beyond what I deserve!

Thank you and may God bless you.

Love,
Dad
