Iām crying.
OH MY GOSH THIS BOOKšš I love it so much Iām so freaking upset that nobody seems to know it but me. I seriously could not put this book down. Every scene had me anticipating for something special to happen and I was not disappointed ONCE. I love every single character with my entire soul but ESPECIALLY my boys Evan (no last name??) and Wes Nolan. I also adoreee the main trio, or āthe dead kidsā
as the author refers to them. Evan is such a beautiful character he deserved so much better oh my goodness his backstory/death-story had me SOBBING into my book while I was waiting for dance class to start. Also Brooke?? Omg??? BROOKE LEE??? She is an interesting character to say the least but every one of her actions was powered by emotion that you can clearly see through the writing. Also the main character PAIGE FREAKING WHEELER AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA- I love Paige sheās so sassy but also depressed and just so relatable in general. This book is so gray I love it sm. Thereās no hero or villain, just actions. Good actions, bad actions, mean actions, kind actions. The characters all feel so realistic. Itās insane how the author managed to fit so many lessons and so much beauty into a simple 180 pages. The fact that im rating this higher than the first two shadow and bone booksā¦ well, thatās how you know itās good.
TLDR: this book is beautiful and has so many good lessons and it amazes me how the author was able to fit all of this into 180 pages. I HIGHLY recommend checking this book out, like seriously, itās amazing.
