The Syrian Orthodox Church Youth Association (SOKU) was founded in 1996 by the Syrian Orthodox Church's youth for youth. SOKU is a nationwide organization with 20 local associations around the country. The total number of members is 8,384 (in 2017). The members of the organization belong to the diocese Patriarchal Vice-Presidency of the Syrian Orthodox Church in Sweden.
SOKU is a union that works to safeguard the interests of Syrian youth on the religious, cultural and social levels. The organization organizes an annual Bible competition, choir festival and a summer activity / theology course. The association also organizes weekend courses, lectures, children's camps, theater performances, competitions, board conferences and much more for the members and the interest is great. SOKU's federal board is constantly exploring opportunities to develop and renew activities for Syrian Orthodox youth.
