Clotilde Rullaud is a multifaceted artist whose work spans music, visual arts, and interdisciplinary projects. As an international artist, artistic director, vocalist-flutist, producer, and educator, she creates unique works that blend music, dance, and visual arts into innovative performances, concerts, and films.
She released her first albums in 2007 in a duo with guitarist Hugo Lippi, and then in 2011 with the quartet In Extremis.
Her most recent album, Kananayé (2024), showcases her collaboration with a Burkinabè quartet. Her duo Madeleine & Salomon, with pianist Alexandre Saada, achieved resounding success in France and internationally with the albums A Woman’s Journey (2016) and Eastern Spring (2022).
Clotilde is also the author, director, and composer of the XXY diptych, which explores gender injunctions. This project includes an experimental film, as well as a choreographic and filmic concert.
Co-founder of Tzig’Art, she took on its artistic direction in 2011.
