Just noticed another series from DC, Dc Compact Comics Editions. Over 300 odd pages and according to the Amazon dimensions they are 0.1 cm x 0.1cm x 0.1cm (I assume that will be updated at some point as it would be amazing at that size). All seem to be more recent books and established classics. Still looking out for more info about the DC finest series, got one on order (Aquaman) and apparently there will be a golden age JSA one, really looking forward to that

Will you be buying any of these ??

www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1837861943?psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL… Noticed that a masterpiece edition of Judge Dredd By Brian Bolland will be released in June. It was originally released in hardback (apex edition) but a paperback edition appears to be coming out now. Just pre-ordered it, hopefully the other volumes will released in the same format as well

Wish I had more (and clearer) pics of my books that I had back in the late 70s, sadly I can just about make out a few books such as the Asimov ones, HP lovecraft books as well as tons of Dr Who books. Not sure why I had a poster of the Manchester comic mart, maybe I intended to go to it. I wish I had a photo of the contents of the cupboard behind me as that is where I had 100s and 100s of comics, I have no pics of my comics at the time.

John Romita's Amazing Spider-Man Volume 2 Artisan edition is out in April 2024 ... yipee. The EC covers one is out soonish (may or may not get that as I have it already in Artist's edition) and Bill Sienkiewicz's Mutants and Moon Knights and Assassins Artisan Edition is out in October 2023. Star Wars Artisan edition is still listed but will that ever happen ???

www.marvel.com/articles/culture-lifestyle/first-lo… Will be doing a review of this once I get it, this looks amazing - yet another winner from Abrams Comicarts (also looking forward to their Spider-man Panel book as well) Bought the calendar on the cover when it came out (wish I had kept it)

Marvel Comics Library X-Men Vol 1 sneaked under the radar, though I am probably not going to get this (I have them in omni and I am not a mega X-Men fan) www.taschen.com/en/books/comics/08134/marvel-comic… for more details of the book. It contains the first 21 stories of the X-Men form 1963 all the way through to 66.

www.amazon.co.uk/Star-Wars-Artisan-Roy-Thomas/dp/1… Seems to be another potential IDW Artisan coming out ? Listed as June but that would be unlikely now but it will be great to see. It was announced for a 2019 release and apparently will include 100 pages from the first 10 Star Wars comics.

The only other one to come is a volume of Bill Sienkiewicz's work - Mutants and Moon Knights etc and that is for September

I'm always over the moon to see any come out, personally I would love to see them come out a couple of months after the Artist's edition, guess that would hurt sales ? And perhaps not all the titles would be instant hits from the Artist to Artisan.

Would like to see more DC ones, there are a few of those that I would love to see. Also the Marvel covers ones

Your favourite epic collection from Marvel ? I have my favourites, X-Men 4 comes to mind but I have others such as the recently released Sub-Mariner epic 3 (the latest one always seems to be my favourite, I have an FF epic on the way so that will be my next favourite)

www.amazon.co.uk/Adventures-Into-Terror-Comics-Lib… There is a new series, the Atlas Comics Library from Fantagraphics. The series will be edited by Dr. Michael J. Vassallo and the art will be restored by Allan Harvey. Hopefully in much the same format as the brilliant 'Atlas at war'. There is also talk of Venus (finally), the Bill Everett part being released along with a volume of Joe Maneely's work. This is the best news for ages and ages for me when it comes to Timely / Atlas / Marvel material ever since the Marvel Masterworks stopped bringing out volumes of Atlas material. There are so many books to be covered and hopefully volumes of the teen / love / crime / naval action / war / westerns / horror / SF / humour / funny animals / Bill Everett etc will all be released at some point. Something Marvel really should have done but I am glad it is in the hands of Fantagraphics and Michael Vassallo,

I am certain it will be an amazing set of books and I just can't wait for the first volume especially as they will be good quality scans, prefer those any day to the over restored omnis (though I am happy to have those as well)

Over the years I have bought (and sold) many Atlas ones, there are some really good stories in those books, really been overlooked, there are, of course, a lot of truly terrible and average ones as well.
