This week we are going to learn how tarantulas and other spiders get their scientific names also known as binomial nomenclature. It isn't as easy as just picking a name at random. So if you have ever wanted to know how and why they come up with these Greek and Latin names that are so hard to pronounce, this is the video for you!

Today I am unboxing a few packages I just received in the mail. One of them contains a bunch of Armadillidium klugii Montenegro aka Clown Isopods from @Aquarimax Pets . I try and capture some cinematic footage of these very colorful and bright roly-polies.

Check out how much the Tarantula Collective studio has grown. As far as I know, this is the only studio in the country dedicated the videography and photography of tarantulas, spiders, and other arachnids and invertebrates.

My Davus sp. Panama (formerly Theraphosinae sp. Panama) also known as the Lava Spider or Lava Tarantula, has outgrown her enclosure and it is time to upgrade her into a BIOACTIVE naturalistic enclosure. I cover how I set up my enclosures for the Lave Spider as well as discuss temperatures, humidity, care, husbandry, temperament, etc.

This week I asked some of my favorite Animal Content Creators if they thought Exotic Pets shows are beneficial or detrimental to the animals and the exotic pet hobby, and why? They had some very insightful and powerful answers that I think EVERYONE needs to hear!

Solar Eclipses are few and far between and we have heard a lot about how different animals may behave during the totality. But no one really discusses how spiders and other arachnids and insects may act once the moon has blocked the sun, plunging their environment into night in the middle of the day.
