Started as a humble semi-weekly newspaper in August 31, 2016 to cater to the Hmar populace of Barak Valley in Cachar, Assam, The Hmar Times (THT) has grown to become one of the biggest digital publication houses in the Hmar society.
Shedding its earlier form of print publication to adapt to the modern visual mode of news publication, THT now delivers daily news broadcasts via its YouTube channel alongside its website posts.
