Let me tell you a story of my recent struggles with healthy lifestyle.
.
Since I moved to Gurgaon things have been hard, much bigger space, a puppy ( that needs a lot of time and training) and no stable house help, plus no stable workout place ( 🦠). Last year was not great for me at all, I neglected my health and fitness goals and missed all my goals for 2021.
.
Then comes 2022, by December end I have a stable house help whom I had trained for 2 months to Cook as per my needs, Dog is better trained needs less care. I thought this is my year, I ll be the fittest version of myself. Then, I come back to Gurgaon in first week of January and I burn my leg in a freak accident and with second degree burns on my leg my help leaves without notice. I am in physical pain and crying and no one to take help from, forget workout I can’t even walk or cook.
.

So, 10 days pass and I am just eating to survive, someday neighbors feeding me , somedays I am ordering food. But my goals are still not happening. I start to focus on what I can control, started reading ( goal of 1 book a week) but I could finish only 2. I made tiny changes in my life everywhere, one tiny change a day. Cleaning a little better , organising a little better , meal prepping a little better.
.
And within 4 weeks, I have a system to function without help; dog is getting training, I am back to training and for my meals, have a look oh la la, every meal looks and tastes like a gourmet meal in a restaurant.
.
I made a promise to myself, it’s ok to slow down but not okay to take a step back.
