Shortly after GGI, Khushi joined International Development Sector.

"Hi, everyone. I'm Khushi Goyal.

I have done bachelor's in philosophy and international relations.

I'm someone who has always had an interest in mixing the arts and sciences of things.

That is how I got my interest in the Tech Policy program at GGI.

GGI gave me the nuance of a technical angle in public policy.

I came across GGI as an undergrad student. Back then I was not sure what I wanted to do, in my life or the career that I wanted to pursue.

So through the educational content posted by GGI and working with GGI as well, I was able to grow a lot. More than professional growth, I was also able to develop my personality. I was able to understand what I want to do, what kind of knack I have.

So, GGI has been a big launching platform for me."

--

Q- So, what are the 3 things you learned at GGI ?

Firstly, Shatakshi always emphasizes stretching your thinking and questioning things.

Secondly, I would say the importance of ethics and decision making. Someone who studied philosophy, I was surprised how sometimes ethics is just overlooked both in government and private companies.

But if you're someone in a position of power, I think you need to move a little beyond numbers and put a people first approach to things as well.

Third would be communication.Being succinct, but also being strong in your opinion, having data to back it up so you are taken seriously.

As someone who is just starting out your career, I was very new to dealing with people from very senior positions.

GGI helped me build that confidence that I was able to speak, and share my ideas, which were also used in the projects that we were doing."

---

Q- What is your advice for the cohort of 2024 ?

You have to just go with an open mind and absorb as much information as possible.

Don't keep questioning- should I do this program or not. If you've enrolled in it, just enjoy it. Learn as much as you can.

I think this is the best use of your weekend.

There's this nerdy passion in me that wants to learn new things. GGI either helped me learn something new about a completely different topic, or it helped me look at a topic.

I already know something about from a different angle. Additionally, learning does not end at the masterclasses. They are just the beginning.

Your true learnings happen when you start applying the concepts that you learn in the masterclasses.

Even though GGI imparts practical learning, critical thinking starts at your own home.

And when you start doing that, you truly realize the impact of your learnings."

---

Khushi Goyal, GGI Tech Policy Scholar 2024

I congratulate Khushi on her journey and wish her the best in her new role. But I also celebrate how Khushi had a strong sense of belonging and a value of giving back- flagbearer GGI ethos and values.

Is an MBA from India worth it, anymore?

ISB and IIMs are some of my favorite schools in the world. They have stood the tests of time. ROI of an MBA from such schools is exceptional.

If leveraged diligently, you could get more out of a top-ranked Indian MBA than an overpriced #foreign degree.

1. Participate in Foreign Exchanges:

ISB, for eg, has partnered with The Wharton School, Fletcher, Kelloggs. #IIMs also have similar exchange programs.

2. Save time for networking:

Complete the basics of core courses - Corporate Finance, Accounting, Operations, Marketing, Strategy, etc - before starting your #MBA program. Believe me, this will save so much time to effectively engage during networking events on campus.

3. Build a Pre-MBA network:

Decide on the pivot you want to make after your MBA and build a network around that industry.

Points 2 and 3 are extremely important.

Our team at Global Governance Initiative is opening 2025 cohort for an invite-only work-study Pre MBA program ---for candidates who will pursue business #education in the next 2 years or less.

In last 3 years, we have built a community of 1381 pre-MBA and international professionals and more than 86% pivoted into strategy and consulting roles even before their MBA.

If you are looking to build a career in Impact Consulting/Product #Management after your MBA. Application link-- www.globalgovernanceinitiative.org/ggi-scholars

GGI Scholars is not just any club.

GGI Scholars 2025 program is designed to give you a global head start to crush your Post MBA/MPP goals.

A year ago, I moved to Goa for good.

And it pains my heart to see Goa at the centre of political tensions today.

While of course #foreign tourists are always an opportunity gvt. can tap more.

This post is not political commentary on Goa's infrastructure.

It is more about how I have found new calm in my #slow life in Goa.

The coconut trees, the wetlands, the charm of the local goan poi, and the unmatched hospitality of Goans.

Very rarely you find this harmony between people and nature elsewhere.

Infact, more than foreign tourists being the focal point-

I would rather focus on how we can further promote #sustainabiletourism with domestic tourists.

I regularly see tourists not treating locals with the dignity they deserve.

Not respecting nature.

Can you imagine doing that to local balinese people in #Bali ?

If not, why do we do that here in India ?

I am excited that tourists from all over India will soon flock here for beautiful weather and Christmas festivities. In fact I am looking forward to it too :)

But maybe it’s time we reflect on how we preserve Goa’s charm.

My own venture's consulting work focuses on reducing North India’s pollution.

But Goa has taught me more:

#Prevention is far easier than cure.

Goa doesn’t just need better tourism policies—

It needs all of us.

All of us respect its essence.

So next time you are here-- be mindful how you litter and dispose of waste.

Because my main question is —

How do we protect Goa from becoming the next Delhi !

AI is taking massive no. of jobs.

And here’s why you should work in AI rather than watch it take yours!

We're excited to announce the next cohort of our Feynman Fellowship under Global Tech Initiative.org .

In my 20s, finding mentors was a real challenge.

Today, as an entrepreneur, I can tell you—a good mentor can be a game-changer.

Renowned physicist Richard #Feynman believed that true learning happens only through direct interactions between a teacher and student—a space for deep thinking.

However, in today’s fast-paced world, it’s extremely hard to replicate that on a large scale.

That’s why Naman Shrivastava and I are thrilled to launch next cohort of the GTI Feynman Fellowship.

We’re building a unique, non-scalable work experience ecosystem—bringing real world exposure to AI projects for beginners with depth and value of NVIDIA and PayPal experiences, but at a fraction of the cost!

Like our past initiatives, we’ll be sharing our journey publicly.

This fellowship won’t be easy. You’ll hit roadblocks, pivot, and grow. But I promise—it’s worth it.

Here’s what you should expect:

#Pillar 1: Foundation Skills

Our fellows will dive into essential skills, from programming and data structures to AI, ML, and advanced tools like coding via CHATGPT.

Only Practitioners will lead each module, so you can experience the subject in action!

#Pillar 2: Advanced Mentorship

This stage includes personalized projects in AI and PM, intensive interview prep, and employment support—all with 1:1 mentorship from AI and PM experts.

#Pillar 3: Community and Friendships

You’ll participate in hackathons, community nights, hone communication and build startups while building lifelong connections and finding your edge :)

---

With this, we’re carrying forward Feynman’s legacy to make complex tech concepts easy to understand.

AI is reshaping the world, and as BCG’s recent study shows, existing skills are aging faster than you can ever imagine.

This fellowship isn’t just about learning; it’s about staying ahead.

The Feynman Fellowship is built with pure dedication and is our way of empowering you.

I look forward to you joining us and embarking on this journey of growth. Application link- www.globaltechinitiative.org/feynmanfellowship

Because believe me or not-- your success is my success in this journey ❤️.

During my masters application time, I was always anxious student.

I was always confused about which schools I apply for.

Because each school's application's cost, emotions and time to apply were just enormous.

One couldn't just apply for 15 schools.

And hence my team at Global Governance Initiative had researched deeply and recently announced top 50 Public Policy global school rankings.

We at GGI have always stood strong on providing practical skills.

Our rankings are data-driven and transparent.

And the results?

Pretty interesting, to say the least.

Check out the full ranking here- www.councilonsustainabledevelopment.org/post/top-5…

The world of policy and governance needs right leaders more than ever before to make real impact.

Hope this helps you all in making an informed choice in your career !

I personally know of 3 people who lost 25, 60 and 45 lakhs because of #financialscams in India.

And these aren’t isolated incidents---they’re happening to many of you every day.

You live in a world where data is currency--

And frankly India continues to be alarmingly casual about data privacy.

And who pays the cost of that casual attitude ?

YOU.

Just this month, Finland fined LinkedIn a whopping $230 million for a privacy breach.

Compare that to the Indian scenario--

Founders of companies like Boat and Byju's are chilling in Dubai or Shark Tank sets after major data leaks.

How do you think these financial scams are happening ?

They call you with your --full details, aadhar, bank card etc.

Infact, I am personally fighting a case against ICICI Bank for a kin, with the aid of RBI Ombudsman. He is a retired officer and lost a whopping 26 lakhs because of the bank negligence!

So what's the solution ?

It's an extremely high time to create awareness, and protect yourself- especially for your gullible parents.

I’m launching a 21-day series on my youtube channel to raise awareness about financial scams, and I need your stories.

If you or someone you know has been a victim of financial #fraud, fill out an anonymous google form in comment and share your experience. The more scams we know about--- the better.

Link- forms.gle/Py27PDJymLGcgqKm8

If you still think this aint going to happen to you !

I know of a really smart person- who has been caught in the web.

Most scamsters are working very hard to improve their ideas as you read this-- they are operating it literally like a startup ! You are 2 steps ahead of you.

We all work extremely hard to save for the rainy day.

You would not want a scam to ruin your savings !

Why am I doing this ?

Because I have seen the pain and agony up close.

While the Indian Government fails---

I am picking up this fight.

Let me know if you are on it with me ✊.

During my BCG orientation in Bangkok, I was blown away by the global diversity BCG offered.

On our last night, the entire Asia cohort gathered for dinner and I saw--

To my left sat a#Wharton grad from U.S. who chose Singapore office to experience Asian culture;

And on my right, an INSEAD graduate continuing his consulting journey; and across the table were consultants from China, #SouthKorea and many other.

Frankly more than the music or sticky rice with mango, it was our conversations on culture, economies, and society that stood out :)

What struck me most was their open curiosity about India's growth and culture.

Honestly that night, I walked away realizing how humble and #curious you become when surrounded by diverse backgrounds.

We all crave meaningful experiences beyond social media screens, borders, castes, genders, and economic divides.

And this is why Naman Shrivastava and I are excited to launch today a special GGI student only fellowship—a diverse community where students support each other to get into #ManagementConsulting and Public Policy- at half the current price. Application Link-www.globalgovernanceinitiative.org/

The truth is you only become a 'ronaldo' by starting early in life. And we are all about building 'ronaldos' of business and social world.

As the world shifts toward extreme nationalism---

Your growth will only happen when you erase the borders politicians have created in your minds❤️.

Big congrats to Naman Tanwar on your amazing achievement! I always say consulting is a fantastic start to your career- because of the kind of diverse problems you get to solve.

A huge shoutout to all our collaborators and partners for continuing to bring GGIians into exciting roles across management consulting, public policy, international development, venture capital, and product management.

This year, we’re thrilled to see the list of collaborators grow to 105+ organizations, and we can't wait to host an industry summit in January to bring all our partners together in Singapore.

Your support keeps opening doors for everyone, and it means a lot.

For anyone curious, check out some of the partnerships Global Governance Initiative has built across different sectors.

And don’t miss our pre-placement videos from various firms on GGI’s official YouTube Channel 💛.

11 tiny habits that have transformed my life in my 30s-

1. Create monthly, weekly, and daily plans:
Planning without execution is a mess. Execution without planning is a double mess.

2. Follow the #Pomodoro technique:
I have fixed 25-minute intervals of focused work, followed by breaks.
Today, I break my schedule into:
A. 1 High-priority task
B. 3 Medium-priority tasks
C. 5 Low-priority tasks

3. Practice a health routine:
Positive outcomes need positive physical health.
I mix A. weightlifting, B. yoga, C. swimming, and D. steep walking. On rare days, I manage to do all 4; on most days, at least 2.

4.#Speak to a loved one daily:
In today's loneliness epidemic, you risk burnout.
I talk to a loved one daily for 20 minutes. Recently, I started biweekly zoom calls with my old college friends—trust me the practice is a breather from the madness of life.

5. Pack your bags every 6 months:
Stagnancy drains me. Growth shouldn't and needn't come only from work. Leave your comfort zone; travel inspires creativity and ideas in you.

6.#Chant daily:
Oh my, this habit has unlocked mental and spiritual blockages in me. Just 10 minutes of pranayam and chanting daily is powerful. You can always start with basics of "om" mantra.

7.#Cook yourself daily:
I understand today 9-11 workdays and zomato's keep us all away from kitchen. But it can't keep you from juicing an orange in just 5 min. Your body will thank you for real food in your 50s.

8. Declutter your house:
Decluttering builds momentum for the week.

9.#Read something at all times:
I carry a kindle, and currently reading Bhagavad Gita. Reading something new constantly feeds my mind and so it will yours.

10. Donate a part of you:
Selfless non published service to those who can’t give back unlocks a new spirituality. Try giving away something material and find a new you.

11. Finally, #Write:
Writing is catharsis. Even a private journal will clear all negative thoughts and will help you become your higher self.

---
In the end, know that these habits have transformed "me".

Successful people don’t follow the same routines—they experiment to learn what works for them.

So don’t be a slave to others’ habits.

One size really doesn’t fit all minds ❤️.
