Karen Durishin of Waterfall Acrylics, LLC is a northern Virginia-based artist who works with fluid acrylic paint and epoxy resin. She has been a professional artist since 2019. Karenās work is shown in art galleries in the Washington DC area, and she is the recipient of several awards from juried shows. She is a member of the League of Reston Artists, and her work is displayed throughout the Washington DC metropolitan area as part of the Art In Public Places initiative. In 2021, she was the substantive expert judge for the TV show āMeet Your Makerā airing on Discovery+. Karen is well known for her use of color and has a keen eye for composition. She is a founder of the Fluid Art Boutique; a consortium of artists who provide art workshops throughout the US and internationally. Karen teaches from her art studio in northern Virginia.
