#Astikas, it was a memorable day at #Kochi #Ernakulam! I delivered a talk on ‘Brand Bharat’ at the South India Media Summit organised by Fourth Dimension. It was an honour to present the ‘RAMAYANAM’ (Vol 1) copy to Sreedharan Pillai (Hon Governor of Goa). Thanks Shankar for the well-organised event. I delivered an Upanyasam in Tamizh at ‘Ernakulam Gramajana Samooham’ attended by over 600 Astikas! Thanks to AYUSH TV for bestowing the ‘National Health Award’ at the #Bengaluru event 🙏🏽

The first creation that created the spark in me was a series called ‘Marma Desam’. I wouldn’t be able to sleep for nights. The genius behind that was Naga. Till date, he remains one of my inspirations in the cinema/series space for an impeccable art of direction. A good friend and a nice listener 🙏🏽 Wish him the best for his upcoming series ❤️

I saw a 'WONDER-WOMAN' yesterday in the divya kshetram of #Thiruvannamalai (famous for Sri Arunachaleshwara Temple, and having had great mahans like Ramana Maharishi, Seshadri Swamigal, Yogi Ramsuratkumar who lived there). Her name is Preethi Srinivasan. She creates 'butterflies'. Wondering how? Imagine a child who climbs a tree to bring some fruits for his grandmother, falls from the tree and his back is broken. He is told that he can't stand on his legs anymore. Bedridden for life. How devastated will one feel? Preethi brings such people whose back is completely lost to this centre, helps them in the treatment and rehabilitation. Agreed, that they can't lead a normal life but she helps them lead a dignified life. This is the first-of-its-kind rehabilitation centre in India for people who have lost their back! I spent half my day at the centre talking to the inmates. Why does Preethi have to do all this? She too is a survivor of an accident similar to this. But she turned this crisis into an opportunity to serve the society. I delivered a lecture on 'divyAngam' for the inmates and our 'Desika Daya' trust made a humble contribution. I would like to place a two-fold request to you all:
(1) They need funds to attend to the inmates as each person requires an attendant throughout the day. The costs are huge. Please do visit their site soulfree.org
(2) These inmates expressed their desire to work for companies who are ready to train them, and they are willing to work (even as they are under treatment). Companies, please do come forward and lend your helping hand here
Thanks to the Astikas in #Madurai, #Salem and #Srirangam for attending in large numbers 🙏🏽

#Astikas, it was a moment of great bhagya and honour to have received the blessings of the Acharya at the Poundareekapuram Srimad Andavan Ashramam in Srirangam. Having interacted with the Acharya multiple times, the one quality that strikes when we meet him is his ‘soulabhya’. Today was no different. A set of Yadavabhudaya (a poetic magnum opus of Swami Vedanta Desikan which received an exquisite commentary from the pen of Sri Appayya Dikshitar) books were presented by HH. Those who wish to know more about the book, may get in touch with the Ashramam (+9-9486202391).
