WRITING OUT LOUD was a television interview program featuring in depth interviewers with writers and other artists. Produced by Oklahoma State University, it appeared on OETA, Oklahoma's PBS affiliate, from 1999-2015. Teresa Miller served as host and executive producer, Gary Johns as director, and Rick Eggers as lead camera man. Prior to 1999 the shows were produced by Rogers State College for broadcast on its public television station. Many of those early programs are available on the RSU Public TV YouTube channel.
Major sponsors of Writing Out Loud include Cast, LLC; the Hille Foundation; the Helmerich Foundation; Koch Industries; Neilsen's Gifts; Jackie Cooper Imports; the Oklahoma Arts Council; and the Oklahoma Humanities Council.
Hard copies of the interviews produced at OSU are stored and catalogued at the Edmon Low Library at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. Select DVD copies are also available in the OSU-Tulsa library.
