Molly McPhaul picked up the guitar at 15 and started producing music a few years later in 2020, releasing her first single the following year. A storyteller through song, McPhaul’s melodic and often complex guitar riffs alone have reached millions.
Born in Silver Spring, Maryland, the daughter of a school teacher and a swim coach, it’s easy to see how inspiring others to wonder, create, and learn has come to feel second nature to Molly. She’s been drawn to the arts for as long as she can remember, be it hours spent doodling, learning how to develop film, or teaching herself Bach at 7 by mimicking the light up keys on her family’s digital keyboard.
With widely acclaimed early tracks, "Waterfalls,” “Snacks,” and “Embers,” Molly is a female producer force in lofi and chill-hop scenes. Releasing her debut album, “mollo’s world,” independently at the end of 2023, she followed up 2 months later with friend and fellow beat-maker Enluv with the mixtape, “beats nobody asked for.”
