Tweeters is my pet Starling. He was rescued May 2018. He was about 2 weeks old when my Grandson found him. He had a broken left leg, broken left wing and a head injury. I am a disabled Registered Nurse. I set his leg and made a splint and immobilized his wing. He learned to fly. He has swallowing difficulties and poor vision due to his head injury. He brightens every day and brings me so much joy. When he came into my care, my Husband had just died and I was planning my suicide. It took several weeks to save Tweeters and make him well. We saved each other. He has a vocabulary of almost 100 words but has favorite sayings that he constantly repeats. He will never be able to be released due to his disabilities. Initially the local bird rehab refused to take him because starlings are not native to the USA and are considered trash birds. GOD gifted this little miracle to me!
