Biography
Chennai-based dancer; Divya began dancing, as a part-time student of Kalakshetra. In 2001 she moved to the US and continued to deepen her practice through masterclasses while attending the Rutger’s State University for a B.A. in Visual Arts. In 2011 she returned to Chennai and trained with her teacher, Sheejith Krishna. Under his guidance, she taught at the Sahrdaya Foundation and performed extensively with the Sahrdaya repertory for five years. She teaches at Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev’s Isha Samskriti in Coimbatore and has choreographed original works for their performances at festivals across India.
