There’s something special about delighting customers with an artisanally cut steak, exactly the way they want it.
It’s in our very own DNA.
It’s what has spurred our family’s passion for butchery, from humble beginnings in the Meatpacking District of New York some three generations ago, to the day we opened the doors to The Butcher Shoppe in Toronto’s Kensington Market circa 1984.
It’s the reason why founder Allan Weisberg remains so committed to the traditional way of doing things, a commitment that has earned him a reputation for custom orders, traditional methods, and a personal, hands-on approach—even as the The Butcher Shoppe has since expanded into the wholesale trade serving the Greater Toronto Area.
All throughout The Butcher Shoppe’s long history, it’s the people who end up with our products on their plates that have remained the common thread. And it’s those same people that we have the great honor of serving.
