I was born in Athens in 1981.
I studied Musicology and Plucked Stringed Musical Instruments, specialising in Lavta (Lute from Constantinople).
I focused in Ethnomusicology and Social Anthropology, completing my MA (2010) and PhD (2015) at The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
I‘m a founding member of Checkmate in 2 Flats (Ματ σε 2 Υφέσεις) and Polis Ensemble; two world music bands with a significant artistic presence in Greek discography.
I was fortunate to collaborate with some of the greatest composers and many notable singers and musicians of my country.
During the last twenty tears, I’ve been participating in recordings and concerts around the world.
