I'm Paul Scott - a UK small caps commentator, investor, and analyst. I've been a professional investor since 2002. My track record in a nutshell? I made £millions between 2002 and 2007, but blew it in the credit crunch in 2008, due to hubris, and a disastrous combination of gearing and illiquidity. So my lessons have been learned the hard way, unfortunately. Still, that has made me a better investor, and a better person, in the long run. Since 2009 I have been gradually rebuilding my investment portfolio.
So my investing approach these days is more cautious, and I pay particular attention to balance sheet strength, and other downside protection. I like Value & GARP (growth at reasonable price) small caps, UK only.
My daily written report on UK small caps can be found here: www.Stockopedia.com/SmallCaps
I enjoy helping other investors, by explaining company finances in an accessible way, and pointing out risky shares.
I NEVER, EVER GIVE ADVICE OR RECOMMENDATIONS. DYOR please.
