I design and build 'live-edge' or Waney-edge furniture - single-slab pieces of select timbers that still retain the natural edge to the wood where the bark once was.
I started to build live-edge furniture pieces as they were not readily available, and variety was scarce. Each piece is unique, and the mix of the natural wood combined with steel and coloured resins ensure a fit into any home.
All of the wood I use comes from natural dead-falls or trees that have been felled because they were damaged or diseased, so rather than rotting, dying or ending-up as firewood, they get the chance to live on.
My channel showcases some of my work, together with playlists of projects and techniques that may be of interest to other woodworkers.
