Wrex Racing was formed on 30 June 2018 when we purchased our very first project car; our 1997 Subaru WRX we very fittingly named ‘Wrex’.
With a goal in mind to develop a competitive tarmac rally car, we poured all our time and energy into building and upgrading the original parts to create the tarmac rally car we have today. This is still just the beginning for Wrex however, we have big plans to continue the build even further (think Roger Clark Motorsport Gobstopper 1 and Vantage Motorsport GC8)!
Wrex Racing has since grown to now also having a second 1997 WRX tarmac rally car piloted by Morgan which we named ‘Junior’ (as it is essentially a baby version of Wrex) and a 1992 Subaru Legacy RS Turbo gravel rally car named ‘Gramps’.
