1998年、アマゾンは無くスマホもECなんて言葉も一般的ではないころ、日本の電気メーカーのサラリーマンだったＤのおっさんは、出張中にアメリカのお店からインラインスケートやウィールなどを買いあさってネットで売っていました。そんな中で米国のメーカーと直接取引ができるようになって2000年にDEEPORTを創業しました。今は世界シェアトップのドイツPowerslideなどの海外メーカーの総代理店、ディストリビューターとして事業を行っています。欧米や中国などアジアにも比べて日本のインラインスケート人口はとても少なくまた認識も低いので、スポーツとしてインラインスケートの認知向上を図る必要があるとこの仕事を始める前からずっと活動しています。インストラクターとして25年、でもなかなか認知は広がらず、むしろ風化しています。原因はいろいろですが、今後はYoutubeからも発信して行きたいと思います。
