Fanny Smith is a ski cross athlete. She won the bronze medal at the 2018 Olympics in Pyeongchang and the gold at the 2013 World Championships in Voss. Fanny holds the record for the most World Cup victories of any athlete in the sport (male or female) with 27 victories. She has been ranked in the top 3 of the sport consistently since 2013.
Born in Aigle and brought up in the Swiss ski resort of Villars, Fanny has been skiing since the age of 2. Whilst at school, Fanny began to look for ways to combine her love of speed, jumps, adrenaline and head-to-head competition and set her sights on competing in Ski Cross.
Overall she has competed in 3 Olympics, and won 4 World Championships medals. She has achieved 52 podium finishes from her 110 World Cup starts and has one the Crystal Globe for the number one athlete of the season on two occasions.
