I'm excited to share with you all the training, nutrition and lifestyle knowledge I've accumulated over the past few years from coaching clients and trying things out myself.

Today reminded me that life doesn't always go to plan.

The first thing I do every morning is say 'Good morning' to my little Lola.

She's my little ray of sunshine especially when it's overcast.

She normally jumps up on my bed and we snuggle.

But this morning, she couldn't stand on her hind legs.

She was wobbling.

I could see from her little beady eyes that something was the matter.

I quickly booked an appointment at the vet's.

Diagnosis:

↳ slipped disc

I was DEVASTATED.

- this little ray of sunshine that is always by my side no matter my mood, no matter the weather

- this little ray of sunshine that is by my side when I'm feeling down, and when I'm going through hard times

- this little ray of sunshine that just wants to run and jump, and chase squirrels

Won't be able to do the things she lives for.

And so this morning I was reminded that these things happen to us humans as well.

We get injured and we beat ourselves up because we can't go to the gym, or go for our daily run.

A lot of us push though injuries and continue running or going to the gym thinking that it'll make us stronger, more resilient.

Most times, that makes the injury worse and means we have to take even more time off.

My advice 👇

↳ rest-> give yourself time to recover

↳ in place of your regular activities, hone in on other aspects of your life-> your relationships, and/or work

Give yourself grace because you can't expect anyone else to do that for you.

Now, I'm gonna go come up with some fun non-running non-jumping activities for my doggy to do to keep her entertained.

Keep my little Lola in your thoughts 🙏

We all know it's important to eat veggies, but do we all know the importance of eating green leafy veggies?

Green leafy vegetables, such as spinach, kale, Swiss chard, and arugula, are some of the most nutrient-dense foods available. They offer a wide range of health benefits due to their rich nutrient profile.

This Green Goddess Smoothie is full of nutrients and contains a daily dose of green leafy vegetables, which most of us don't get enough of.

Green Goddess Smoothie

Half cup spinach
Half cup kale
Half cup frozen mango
Half cup frozen pineapple
A small lemon wedge
Tablespoon avocado
One banana
A cup of water

To make it as smooth as possible you'll need a high speed blender. Enjoy x

Big congratulations to my client Rukayat for her commitment, hard work and for trusting me and the process 👏

In 6 weeks Rukayat has lost 4.3kg by following her training and nutrition program.

We had a slight hiccup in the first two weeks as Rukayat thought she was eating well, but later we learned she was overeating by quite a lot.

How did we figure this out? She got a kitchen scale and started weighing out her food. Once we sorted out her nutrition, the weight started coming off.

Nutrition is the first thing you need to look at if your goal is weight loss. No amount of exercise will beat a good nutrition plan.

Again big well done to Rukayat, couldn't be more proud 👏 We are hungry for more progress in the coming months 💪

Have you guys tried yesterday's shoulder workout with weights yet? 🔥 There is also a 30-min stretching and mobility routine up on my channel if you fancy relaxing a little. Currently, I'm working on a lot more weighted workouts so, those will be coming your way in the next few weeks ❤️
