Aslaam Alaikum

What is potowar? this is a region of Pakistan, and one of the the dialects is potowar. This dialect is very sweet when spoken and the rhythm created with pothwari sher is unique to this region in Pakistan. One of my concerns is that the dialect is not being passed on to the new generations, people teach their kids Urdu because they think its cool. I think its wrong. Potowari / Pahari has similar qualities as Urdu on how to address elders than youself with respect, which is common in our culture. My content is mainly Pothwari / Pahari & Islamic and religious orientated. So i hope you will find a good mix.

The open fields in the early morning and at sunset are just some memories i have of my potowari village. We still have a lot to learn and pass on to our younger generation otherwise they will have no shanakhat (identity), theres lots to discover about our home.
