I am a self-taught mandolin player. And that's my biggest problem. When I started to learn, I saw some basic chord shapes on the internet and that was it. I had only few songs to play. Especially since I fell in love with metal music. And altough blues and folk will always have a place in my heart, bluegrass and country just don't fit in. There were simply not many songs for me to play.
Sounds familliar? Fear no more.
As time went by my ear became a bit more sensitive to the delicate difference between a third and a minor third. I decided to use this new power to the benefit of millions of helpless metal and rock loving mandolin players out there.
Every now and then I add a video of one of my favorite songs with tabs on screen, if you want to join me. Honestly, metal sounds so great on a mandolin - who would not want to join?
I also compose my own music as a hobby. Listen to my one man project and let me know, what you think about it!
