I started out working in a shirt factory with my mother, Helen, and sisters. I never understood that these shirts move in the economy through big rigs. My first experience with big rigs was on the interstates of Mississippi and I was frightened by their big presence anywhere close to my car. Over time I have learned to appreciated the hard work they do and the many long hours and distance they cover. The truckers and our manufacturing system became clearer when I walked in to many stores and saw empty shelves especially of toilet paper , paper towels. Etc Now I think long lived the trucking and manufacturing business that keep me comfortable day to day . ALso , the dedicated truckers who are big players in this American economy.
