STENA EUROPE is a passenger ferry boat with service between Algeciras, Spain and Morocco.
It has just undergone a new paint job (livery) at Campamemto, Spain, very close to the international border with Spain and Gibraltar ( @thespaingibraltarchannel ). In this video you can also see a plane depart with @MinistryofFlightGibraltar
The ship was met with a pilot boat, the pilot entered (see video here, ) and within minutes the tug came over to help pull it out, circle about The Bay in front of Spain's largest port, Algeciras before finally entering Algeciras to begin its ferry duties between Europe and Africa across The Strait of Gibraltar, one of the worlds busiest shipping lanes.
STENA EUROPE has been at Cernaval Shipyard in Campamento, Spain, for the past couple weeks undergoing her new livery process. A couple weeks ago I had the opportunity to see it at night time while they were still working on it. Today I just so happened to be in the right place at the right time, I honestly went to this spot to see the autos carrier, AUTO ENERGY and the LNG Tanker, BW CASSIA (see that video here: )
As I was packing up my gear I turned around to notice the Algeciras pilot boat speeding in my direction. At that moment I waited. I observed the tug boat VB SIMUN coming speedily over from Algeciras Port, at which point I knew that STENA EUROPE was completed and would be pushing off!
