The Textile Arts curriculum is an elective track in the BFA Art Practice in The School of Art + Design at Portland State University. The program provides an interdisciplinary approach to the study of clothing and textiles. We offer courses in weaving, surface design, sewn construction, and dress history that encourage students to develop portfolios for a variety of applications in apparel, costume, textiles, and contemporary art.
