About
Lapwing is two old friends from Glasgow, Tim Kwant and Phil Ford. They write beautiful songs about loss and hope with poetic lyrics and haunting melodies. 2024 will see the release of their much-anticipated debut album, 'Thin Places', which features 10 tracks, each named after a place in Scotland. This collection of songs explores the ancient Celtic idea that in certain locations the veil between heaven and earth is stretched 'thin'. Each song tells a unique story, but all are expressions of the human longing for transcendence and of the enduring power of the Scottish landscape to stir the soul. The lead single, 'Luskentyre', is out on March 1st.
