APOCALYPTIC VISIONS We are living in an age that is obsessed with the end of the world. The end of the Sun is not the only doom- People are looking forward to a future that is both hope and of fear. There is a serious fear of death-the end of the world is about the end of us……which in turns brings up a lot of fear…..rather than deal with their own personal death they transpose this to the death of the world… There has always been an apocalyptic vision but it is more acute now because of nuclear annulation, global warming, rising sea levels, climate changes, all equal unprecedented anxieties. People who aspire to apocalyptic reasoning are unhappy in the world which we live-they fantasize about a brand new world. Apocalyptic thinking occurs after difficult moments in history-i.e 9/11. This is a heavenly battle between the minions of God and of Satan. This struggle will-find its way to the battleground of the world with the total destruction there of and a new era will begin.
