We are the developers of the first web-based textbook for Arabic (e-Edition) and the first computer-based Arabic language proficiency test (AL-ARABIYYA-TEST).
The e-Edition was developed at the Institute of Oriental Studies/Leipzig University. You can use the e-Edition with any common webbrowser on notebooks, tablets or smartphones.To enhance your Arabic we have implemented audio files of all vocabulary items, texts, dialogues and grammar examples as well as computer-exercises. The audio files of the dialogues are not only provided in Modern Standard Arabic but also in the dialects of four main regions: A. Iraq, Gulf, Arabian Peninsula / B. Syria, Lebanon, Palestine / C. Egypt / D. Maghreb
The AL-ARABIYYA-TEST assess your Arabic language abilities in the four basic skills - reading, listening, speaking and writing - on all levels ranging from A1 - C2 according to the standards of CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
