âExodus 36:6-7 NIVâŹ
Then Moses gave an order and they sent this word throughout the camp: âNo man or woman is to make anything else as an offering for the sanctuary.â And so the people were restrained from bringing more, because what they already had was more than enough to do all the work.

"My friend, the Tayo herself," Roli hailed in her usual exuberant manner as she opened the door for Tayo on Sunday.
Tayo laughed as she embraced her crazy friend.
"Roliiii, the only Roli that I know," she hailed her too.
Both of them laughed as they walked hand in hand.
Tayo dropped the tote bag she came with on the table. Roli quickly ransacked the bag, bringing out bowls of Greek yogurt and the ingredients for a parfait and a bottle of nice non-alcoholic drink.
"Ose, ore mi, omo baba olowo. My own OBO," Roli hailed as she brought out all the goodies.
Tayo laughed before she moved to wash her hands in the kitchen sink after which she opened the pots to check what was inside.
"Roli, I sure say no be you cook this stew," Tayo exclaimed as she opened a pot of pepper mix stew with fresh fish and ponmo.
Dan laughed as he opened the fridge to get a bottle of water. He walked out of the kitchen, leaving the ladies alone.
"Why you dey always fall my hand?" Roli wailed.
âRoliiii, tell the truth and let the devil be ashamed," Tayo shouted as she moved closer and held her by the chin playfully.
Roli suddenly looked serious as she looked at her friend playing with her the way she used to.
"I miss you, T. It's so good to see the Tayo I grew up with again," she whispered fiercely as tears pooled up in her eyes.
Tayo's hand dropped as she looked at her childhood friend who was her fellow mischief maker in silly plays and acts.
"I miss me too. It's like I don't know how to be me again. He didn't only steal my money, he stole the fun out of me. He stole what makes me me," she said brokenly as tears flowed from her eyes.
Roli pulled her into a protective embrace as she swore she was going to kill Jide wherever and whenever she saw him.

You don't curse a land and expect to eat the good of such a land.
The earth is also a living thing. That's why you can put seeds into it and it grows. So, it hears whatever you say about it.
Nigeria is blessed. I dwell in Nigeria and feed on its abundance.
Psalm 37:3.

Adal sat on the trunk of Bode's car swinging her legs. Bode was leaning towards her.
"So, the Oasis breakfast hour was a huge success?" Bode asked, looking at Adal. She clapped like a happy girl handed her favorite ice-cream.
"It was amazing! You need to come in one of these days to see what I am talking about." Adal said in excitement.
"We will be requiring a bigger space the way it is going now." She added.
"Ose! SHEO extraordinaire!" Bode teased. He ducked as Adal tried to throw him a mock punch.
"I am happy for you, Adal. I see how hard you work and it's always beautiful when you see hard work pay off." Bode said, sincerely.
"You know, right?" She replied with a small smile.
"Thanks for the kind words, Bode; but I am just the little Jos girl who has received grace." She said, whimsically. Bode nodded with a smile.
As she opened the door, he quickly stretched one of the ice-creams to her. When she looked at him disdainfully and wouldn't accept his peace offering, he quickly stretched out the second one too.
"You can have both, Adal. Though I know you are not that kind of person that won't share. You have always been an amazing soul and I am the jerk that wronged an angel. My only prayer is that the angel I have wronged hasn't reported me to God, because I wouldn't know what to do then. Adal, you are an angel, I know. I know you are an angel and even though I have never told you so, you are one and not only thatâŚ," he rambled on.
Adal burst into laughter, cutting off his shenanigans.
"Bring that ice-cream and just shut up there." She said, laughing.

Dr Shen looked at Jumai and her mum, leaning forward a little, he said.
âAbused patients are particularly likely to experience symptoms such as hallucinations and delusions.â Also, patients who are abused as children are likely to experience auditory hallucinations, sexual delusions or thought disorder.
The persecutory voices are experienced inside the head and either condemn the patient in sexual terms or threaten harm he said.
As he took a pause, her mother quickly said, âBut Jumaiâs hallucinations have stopped for years now, only occasional nightmares.â
âYes, but the day it relapsed was because she saw the person who abused her for the first time after the incident, I believe?â Dr Shen asked.
Jumai looking down nodded slightly.
âSo, itâs expected to trigger the hallucinations.â
âBut you are much better now, arenât you Jumai?â he asked.
She nodded in the affirmative.
âLook up, Jumai.â he said gently, and she raised her head.
âLike I told you, you alone have the power to make him hurt you now. So, donât allow him to take up space in your head. Itâs all in the past. You have come a long way, I know the state you were in about ten years ago, right?â he asked, looking at her mum.
âEleven sir.â Mama Luka said.
âYes, you totally lost your voice after the surgery. But look at you today. You have grown into a strong young woman. Thank God for the support from your family," he said.
âYou cannot allow that predator to come and take you back that lane again. You have to be strong and pull up all your willpower so you can stand up to him in case he comes back, or whenever you start having those thoughts and flashes that take you back to the event.â he said.
Sitting back in his seat, he fixed his gaze squarely on Jumai and said, âYou owe your late father that much. He sacrificed so much to ensure your experience didnât leave you broken.â
âCan you do that much for him?â he finished.
The lone tear slipped off the left corner of Jumaiâs eyes as she pulled in her lips with her lower set of teeth and nodded vigorously.
Jumai and her mum soon ended their appointment and went home.

Who could be calling? Uforo thought as he turned from the gas cooker where he had been heating his dinner of beans pudding.
Probably mum or dad who wanted to find out how he was doing. That had become a regular thing since the last time he went to confront Uduak and now he was feeling stifled. But it is what it is; he knew they were just watching out for him, he thought as he turned to pick the phone.
He paused when he saw the caller ID displayed as "Treasure."
"Nenrot?" He said, surprised.
He quickly picked it before the call ended.
"Nenrot, are you ok?" He asked in concern immediately, not even allowing her to speak.
There was a pause when he heard a sob.
"Hello, Nenrot, what happened?" He asked.
"Please, talk to me, you are frightening me," he said in alarm.
"I am sorry, Uforo," she said.
Uforo rubbed his hands on his face as he turned around at the smell of his burning dinner.
"Gosh!" He said as he hurriedly turned off the burner.
"Sorry about that. I was about to burn my dinner," he said.
This only seemed to make Nenrot sob harder.
"I am sorry, UF. I just wanted you to know how sorry I am," she said before disconnecting the call.
"What!" He shouted when the call ended. He dialled the number but apparently, she had immediately switched off.
Nenrot calling him to apologize wasn't something he had ever envisaged and now that it happened, she had to switch off on him.
"Lord, I need help understanding this woman," he said looking up to the roof as he dialled her number again but to no avail.
