In 1991 John Paul Miles gained a B.A. (Hons) in Music at the University of Huddersfield and subsequently went on to study singing with Nicholas Powell at the Royal Northern College of Music, Joy Mammen at the Royal Academy of Music and the New York based teacher, David Jones.
He made his operatic debut in 1993 with the Royal Flanders Opera in Antwerp and has since appeared as a freelance tenor soloist in opera and concerts throughout the UK and Italy.
Now married with three children he splits his time between London, Berlin and Dresden where he teaches singing, as well as performing in concert and oratorio. Due to increasing demand from singers around the world he also offers lessons via Skype.
