What horror movie do you think you could genuinely survive?

Honestly, the only answer I could think of for me personally is Childā€™s Play.

The moment anyone told me there was a talking doll that moved on its own and is being blamed for murder I wouldnā€™t be fucking around not believing it, I mean obviously Iā€™d recommend a therapist to whoever is telling me that but that doll is absolutely getting chopped up and burned and then covered in concrete and sent to the bottom of the ocean.

Whatā€™s been your horror flick of the year so far?

Itā€™s been such a strong year already with some HEAVY HITTERS yet to come, so Iā€™m curious what yā€™all have to say.

For me personally I canā€™t pick between:

Horror films that donā€™t explain what the villain is?

I often find that a horror villain starts out the scariest because you donā€™t know much about it. But by the end, the movie has to resolve itself so you often are told the villains (a ā€œvillainā€ being a person, supernatural force, whatever) motivations or identity.

For example I recently watched Longlegs, which I really liked, but by the end when the whole Longlegs mystery is explained etc, I found it wasnā€™t as scary. Still an awesome film and I donā€™t think it should end any differently really.

Some films top of mind that donā€™t explain the villain by the ending is The Shining and some Lynch stuff, like Twin Peaks. Iā€™m sure there are others Iā€™m forgetting. What about you?
