Stout Heritage Farms is located in Southeast Iowa - the heart of fertile corn country. Siblings, Rachel Stout Fishback and Vince Stout have a lifelong history with growing corn. Our Great Great Grandfather Ben grew Bloody Butcher Heirloom non GMO corn and we wanted to continue the tradition.
We have enjoyed watching the heirloom corn grow on our family farm. The deep red kernels of the bloody butcher as well as the high fat content of the corn kernels makes for great corn for grinding into flours, grits, and distilleries enjoy mash from bloody butcher because it gives a distinct flavor to bourbons, whiskeys and vodkas.
At Stout Heritage Farms we invite you to enjoy the same heritage we uncovered in family farm diaries. We hope to add more unique heirloom corn seeds to our family farm to sell to avid heirloom corn seed enthusiasts.
