Hello, I'm back to uploading videos here as I'm interested in playing NHL again. Game 3 of the NYR series I just published was quite the roller coaster. Holy crap.

Welp, YouTube just de-monetized me for 'reused content', even though I'm playing every game I upload. I'll try to appeal but I'm not interested in adding like, my own voice commentary to the videos or anything like that because that's not the type of content I want to make. I'll try to appeal and see what they say I guess. <_<
Oh well, I wasn't doing this for the money anyway, so I'll still keep uploading, just a major bummer. :(

Getting fiber internet installed on Tuesday which will increase my upload from 20Mbps to 1Gbps. I'm just excited that my upload times won't be an hour plus anymore. Also been on an NHL kick lately, which is why we've got so many games going up lately. Maybe I'll actually finish a season for the first time in a few years. >_>

Thanks to my younger brother, I got my new PC built! Gonna try to return to my normal NHL video schedule too. Might be a bit hit or miss in the first few days though.
Sadly I won't be buying NHL 23 since they removed a lot of the presentation features which I really rely on. Honestly I am very upset over this because my favorite band Coheed and Cambria is in the NHL 23 soundtrack.
Anyway, happy 2023, and I'm looking forward to next year. Hopefully we get some news about NHL 24 having better presentation, otherwise I'm gonna just stick to continuing my NHL 22 franchise. >_>

Hello everyone. I know I'm not a massive channel and I don't have THAT many folks who actually follow what I am doing but I still want to give a heads up on what my plans are for the channel.
In April my PC that I normally recorded NHL content on died, and I was just using my laptop. I stopped playing NHL 22 outside of maybe 2 games since I couldn't record them. I've been using a laptop as my main computer from then on. Since my last community post I've since gotten married and moved to a new place. Been a bit of a whirlwind but I do want to get back to this casual channel. This also included an international trip last month where my younger brother (who is helping me build my new PC) went to Iceland for his wedding. My PC/YouTube/ETC of course went on the back burner for this time. =p
Regardless, my goal is to by the end of the year have my new PC built and a recording situation where I can record the games on my new PC. I might also invest into doing some Twitch streams here and there but I am not 100% sure what everything will look like once I get my PC built. I am not sure my audience on YouTube actually cares to see any live video, but maybe there is something to explore!
However! One sad thing though after playing the trial period of NHL 23, I will not be switching to that game unless they fix the presentation issues. They really handicapped the presentation of the game to focus on gameplay. While that will work for probably the majority of players of the game, it really ruins what I enjoy of playing games like NHL/Madden/The Show/etc.
Unless they return NHL 23 to at the very least the same level of presentation that NHL 22 had, I will be sticking with NHL 22. This could potentially be a benefit as I will get to do more than a single season of videos before I switch to the new game! Also since it was the year before Malkin and Letang re-signed, there is a chance one or both of them walk in the off-season. It would be interesting to see what happens!
Anyway, the 'tl;dr' of this message is that I am hoping to get a PC capable of capturing my gameplay, doing the minor editing and uploading to YouTube, and I hope you guys still give a crap about it even if it isn't the most recent NHL game.
Overall I do this stuff because I enjoy doing it, not because I view it as a job or anything. I just hope anyone who was interested in my channel will stick around even if I am not the most modern version of EA's NHL.
And regardless, if anyone is actually around and still watching/invested in my channel, Thank you. I don't know what I do that makes you interested in my content, but I absolutely thank you for the attention and hope the end of 2022 and 2023 are steps forward in my channel.

Looking forward to trying out NHL 22. I applied for the closed beta but who knows if I'll get a key for it.
I couldn't stay interested in NHL 21 for some reason, so I mostly took a break and played other games. I do have a PS5 so looking forward to what benefits NHL 22 has from the next gen consoles. I do hope to get a whole season of NHL 22 completed this year.

I got NHL 21 downloaded. Gonna try editing whatever likely out of date rosters they have to something somewhat close to today's rosters. I don't think I'm gonna go for super accuracy, but something better than the defaults.

Okay so uh... I'm sorry for the last comment where I said I might play NHL 20 for a bit... Didn't play out that way.
I am looking forward to getting NHL 21 since that is out in a week or so, and I will absolutely be getting my NHL 21 season starting then.
Here is to hoping the regular season 'in real life' goes well. I have my Penguins season tickets renewed as well, so hopefully it'll be safe to go to a few games next year!
I'll hopefully get some videos going pretty soon after NHL 21 is released!

Given the upsetting end the actual Penguins had this season, I might start up another season of NHL 20 for the channel, but I don't think I'll make it all the way to the end of the season before NHL 21 comes out and I switch to that.
Just missing the game a little and I should keep some content coming. =P

Hey everyone, with all the events going on around the world right now, I might miss a few days if I don't get to play a game of NHL 20. I still want to try to keep my same every-other day schedule going but there might be some cases where that is not possible.
