I filmed a video on ā5 reasons why your type 4 natural hair isnāt growingā and itās not a product recommendation.
When I big chopped again in 2017 , I struggled with embracing my natural textured hair. I was seriously so āASHAMEDā of my hair which made me always want to hide it and blame āprotective stylingā.
Being ashamed of something or someone HINDERS its growth. It wasnāt until I stopped being ashamed, I learned to properly care for my hair and it started growing consistently. That was 1 of the 5 reasons.
Iām hesitant on uploading this video because itās not a ādemonstrationā video and Iām still finding my voice here on this platform. What do you guys think?

Posting on here because itās Lowkey: Iām super thankful for social media because of the simple fact that Iām able to express and share my creativity on it. But the more views, followers, comments and subscribers I get, the more I have to check in with myself mentally.
Nasty comments: should I respond? Delete? Block?
Turn off comments? Take a break? ( I really donāt want to because I truly enjoy creating content and sharing. Itās almost like my escape from the real world)
Nice comments; my thoughts ā I hope you still think youāre the bomb, creative, pretty, nice, kind hearted despite these ānice commentsā because what happens when no one leaves a ānice commentā? Make sure you always compliment yourself and believe them because your compliment to yourself is what truly matters.
More subscribers/followers: ā does my like to follower ratio match up? Does my view to subscribers ratio match up? Does my comment section to follower ratio match up?ā Who cares? Who gives a sh*t ? I just want to post my contents without thinking any of these thoughts. I now post my contents and log out immediately because how self absorbed and overwhelming is it to check a post every 5 seconds to see how many views or likes Iāve gotten (reasons why my interaction is always so late because I log out). So mentally draining.
