I developed a love for all forms of abstract art with the encouragement of my best friend. Pottery was my first love but my friend Olwyn just kept pushing me to pick up a paint brush and acrylic paint. She must have seen something I hadn't known about myself. That was 5 years ago. The following year I would lose her to cancer. Life wasn't easy without my best friend by my side, but her voice often echoed in my head. "Go on try it". Painting made losing her bearable, it filled the endless voids of my phone not ringing for our regular chat, "gasbag" she would call it. Or our weekly, weekend catch ups. Painting became my new best friend in the sense.. Olly was and is irreplaceable.
I now experiment with all types of abstract art. Working full-time limits my time to play... but I feel like it's time to share my journey.
It will take time to build up my video collection but we have to start somewhere.
