After the dazzling meta-dance-pop anthem “How do you love?”, Joel Gibb, the charismatic mastermind behind The Hidden Cameras, strikes a more introspective note on “Undertow” and deals with a love that has literally been washed away.

A swelling chorus of seagull calls leads to a shrill scream: on “Undertow”, Gibb takes an almost onomatopoeic approach to the motif of the undercurrent and deals with the sudden end of a love affair.
