Unrelated to my YouTube Channel: American History Geek, however of significant relevance to my Peace Corps Service in Togo, West Africa.

Today I'm so proud to announce that the CEG Welou Electric Water Pump Grant Project has been approved for fundraising and completion.

This is a massive project for the village here. As it currently stands, students in the middle school often walk very long distances to fetch small amounts of water for the school. The limited access to water has not only impacted students' ability to learn in classrooms, but it also creates challenges in health and sanitation. In addition to this, the school's ability to offer agricultural education and programming during the dry-season is extremely limited as it stands.

If you want to be involved in something bigger than yourself and help us address these inequities, I highly encourage you to go to the link below and donate. Any amount goes a long way, whether its $1 or $100, your contribution is greatly appreciated by both myself and the Welou community in the Northern Region of Togo, West Africa.

Even if you are unable to donate, sharing this post with friends and family will go a long way in helping myself and the school administration in moving forward with this project. Thank you and if you are able to, please share this link far and wide to help us spread the message and bring clean drinking water to the rural village of Welou, Togo!

Life Update: I am currently completing 3-month long Peace Corps Pre-Service Training in Togo, West Africa, after which I will be serving a two year term working as an Agriculture Extension Agent Volunteer, collaborating with local communities to bring about sustainable change. I plan to continue uploading videos and growing my channel when I am back in the United States with reliable WiFi. Here are some fun photos from my service thus far!!

A little bit late, but I wanted to say Happy Pride Month! A big part of our success throughout American History lies in the motto of "staying true to ourselves." It is important to learn the stories of the countless historical figures that helped build the path towards LGBTQ+ rights, marriage equality, and so much more. We here at American History Geek are excited to add more content to our LGBTQ+ history content library soon, in the meantime our existing content can be found at the link below! 🇺🇸 🏳️‍🌈

This is a non-history related post, but I figured I'd mention it to everybody. Come check out my friend Caleb Sacks' new orchestral music piece "End All, Be All!"

Thank you so much to ‪@thedailybellringer‬ for inviting me on to his show to discuss American History Geek and our classroom resources for U.S. History teachers.
