Tezera Habte Merga, AKA Tezee Habte is an acclaimed Oromo singer and song writer. His music largely draws from the ancestral musical tradition the Oromo in the Horn of Africa. Teze grew up in Harar where he learned the art of singing and performing from the forerunners of the Afran Qallo movement and Modern Oromo art. His work is deeply inspired by the legendary Oromo Artist Ali Mohammed Bira.
