About
Matthew Gray - a Leeds based singer, songwriter and guitarist.
He has been through many stages while forming his musical style, from heavy metal to jazz, pop to musical theatre. Through each of these stages Matthew has learnt something and he has taken inspiration from these styles to crave and create the music he does today.
One of his biggest inspirations is Jason Mraz's early music. It helped him develop his love for the acoustic guitar and to this day, it's still his favourite instrument. However Matthew occasionally plays the bass guitar and piano. Matthew has opened shows for the likes of Ramin Karimloo, Pete Murray and The Dunwells. Currently his inspirations are Ben Abraham, Amos Lee, Lizzy McAlpine, John Mayer and more.
