Starting with the purchase of our first Electric car, the Kia e-Niro in March 2019 which was a sort of retirement present to self! Simplifying our lives by only having one car and doing our bit for cutting carbon emissions. Experience of running the car, charging it and the total costs of ownership over what we hope will be the long term. How the addition of solar panels in May 2019 helped mitigate the costs of higher electricity consumption and comparing this with what we used to spend on fossil fuels. The good, bad and the ugly of public charging on our road trips from our home in the Aquitaine region of France around Europe and back to the UK where we are from.
