This channel is dedicated to teaching history of the Moors through art. WHO ARE THE MOORS? Anciently the Moors were known as LeMurians, Atlanteans, Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Egyptians, Ethiopians, Mauritanians, Numidians, Nubians, Maroccans, Ottomans, Otomies, Olmecs, Mayans, Aztecs, Incas etc. Biblically The Moors were known as Canaanites, Moabites and Amorites. In 711 A.D the descendants of those named above unified as “Moors” and reconquered their ancestral land (Iberian Peninsula), bringing with them Order Culture (Morals) and the seven liberal arts (Music, Dialectic, Linguistics, Astronomy, Rhetoric, Geometry, and Arithmetic). After the Spanish Inquisition The Moors were de-nationalized and called Moriscos (meaning Little-Moors), Indians (Los Sin Dios meaning those without god), Coloreds, Negros, Blacks, and lastly African Americans. WHY IS THIS HISTORY IMPORTANT? Because a people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots.
