San Diego Beach Improvement Group is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to creating great experiences at the beach by raising money and doing beach cleanups, beach beautification, beach improvements and beach maintenance projects for sports equipment, landscaping, amenities and more! Join us on our journey as we build our nonprofit and collaborate with other nonprofits, businesses and sponsors to raise awareness and complete our vision to keep our beaches in San Diego beautiful and well-maintained for all to enjoy!
I started this journey in 2002 and by 2007 I secured our nonprofit status with a small group. Initially we focused on the 14 beach volleyball courts at South Mission Beach. In 2009 we resurfaced the outdoor basketball court and initiated some beach cleanups and tournaments. Learn more about our history, projects and events at www.SanDiegoBIG.org.
