We are a London based charity committed to helping first and second generation Scots in need within a 35 mile radius of Charing Cross. We are over 400 years old but are a modern organisation that has undergone a transformation from originally being mainly grant giving organisation, to offering clients a more bespoke service, from financial grants, homelessness support, counselling, training, housing and social events.
Our vision is to break the cycle of deprivation experienced by generation after generation of some Scots in London and we are committed to continuing to offer help to Scots who need it. Changing lives for the better.
In the early 17th century, successful Scottish merchants and craftsmen meeting in London put regular contributions into a Scots Box as a form of mutual aid insurance. The fund later became a charity known as the Royal Scottish Corporation and, from 2005, as ScotsCare.
